Amazon expands flex payment options for Amazon Pay
Amazon is giving a wider range of credit card holders access to use flex payments with Amazon Pay.
In an email to Chain Store Age, the e-tail giant announced that Prime Visa and Amazon Visa cardmembers can now pay with equal monthly payment options when using the Amazon Pay solution during checkout at tens of thousands of participating online retail sites, including Lenovo, Tennis Express and Authentic Watches.
Amazon Pay uses information stored in a customer’s Amazon wallet like email, shipping addresses, and payment methods, so customers don’t to create a new account or remember passwords in order to checkout.
This is the first time Prime Visa and Amazon Visa cardmembers can use equal monthly payments beyond Amazon.com and the Amazon mobile app. Cardmembers can pay 0% annual percentage rate (APR) on six- and 12-month equal monthly payment plans on purchases of $50 or more. For retailers, no additional fee or integration is required in order to offer this payment option to consumers.
In April 2023, the new Citi Flex Pay on Amazon Pay solution gave eligible Citi credit card members the option to pay over time when using the Amazon Pay digital wallet application at thousands of participating online retail sites. The Amazon e-commerce site and mobile app had already been accepting Citi Flex Pay.
Amazon also offers flexible payment options on its e-commerce site via partnerships with Affirm.
