A tentative deal has been reached that would have averted a strike by UPS workers.
Eclipse Stores is transforming online order management.

A Canadian fashion retailer is creating a seamless flow of order information between its online storefront and back end fulfillment environment.

Eclipse Stores Inc. is integrating the Tecsys order management system (OMS) into its e-commerce store, which is based on the Shopify platform., with consulting services from Allure Commerce. As a result, the retailer intends to expand its omnichannel capabilities across multiple platforms, while maintaining a single “source of truth” for tracking and management of inventory.

Other benefits Eclipse Stores seeks to obtain include reduced manual entry, minimized errors, and better visibility throughout its order processing cycle. The retailer also plans to improve its customer experience with frictionless commerce and improved communication regarding order status, as well as simplify the returns process, offering added convenience for customers.

In addition, Eclipse Stores will have the necessary omnichannel infrastructure to offer seamless shopping options like buy online, pickup in-store (BOPIS), reserve online, pickup in-store (ROPIS) and ship-from-store services.

Furthermore, the retailer plans to drive better decision-making by using the combined OMS and e-commerce data to obtain new insights into customer behavior, sales trends and operational efficiency; and to streamline processes such as order consolidation and split orders for increased operational efficiency.

"We are in relentless pursuit of providing positive customer experiences, and that extends into our digital commerce ecosystem," said Genevieve Bulgin, director of retail operations at Eclipse Stores. "Our new digital ecosystem effectively combines the Shopify front end with the Tecsys order management orchestration back end, providing a scalable platform for efficient omnichannel commerce."

"It is a privilege to work with Allure Commerce to deliver this level of digital commerce execution to the Eclipse team," said Guy Courtin, VP of industry and global alliances at Tecsys. "Eclipse is a prime example of how the right combination of technology can create a ripple effect of efficiency and growth across all facets of retail business."
