Select GE Appliances users can shop recipes at Kroger via touchscreen.
The Kroger Co. is providing shoppable recipes directly to users of select GE Appliances WiFi-connected wall ovens and ranges.
This over-the-air update provides more than 150,000 consumers with select GE Profile, Café and Monogram wall ovens and slide-in ranges with access to a rotating selection of recipes from Kroger and CPG partners including King Arthur Baking directly from their appliance's LCD touchscreen.
If a user is interested in a recipe, users can click to view the list of ingredients and instructions. With one more touch, they can add all the necessary ingredients to their cart for Kroger or one of its grocery banners. Customers can link their appliance to their Kroger account by scanning a QR code the first time they use the feature.
The touchscreen recipes will also direct consumers to precision cooking modes that can help improve the cooking results of the recipe.
