Newegg enters Amazon Prime Day competition
Once again, Newegg Commerce Inc. is taking on Prime Day with its own online summer sales extravaganza.
The global technology e-commerce retailer is hosting its ninth annual FantasTech Sales event. A presale will be available Wednesday, July 5 through Sunday, July 9, and the official FantasTech Sale runs Monday, July 10 to Thursday, July 14.
Newegg says customers can expect special low prices on tech products like desktop PC systems, laptops and PC hardware, smart home devices, drones, e-bikes, vacuums;,and home audio. During the presale, the retailer will provide offers each day featuring different product categories.
The presale event will also offer a price protection guarantee. If a customer purchases an eligible sale product from Newegg that shows a Fantastech Price Protection badge during the presale, and that product drops to a lower price on Newegg before July 14, 2023, the e-tailer will automatically refund the difference to the customer via their original payment method by July 25, 2023, and send an email confirmation.

Newegg joins Prime Day field
Amazon Prime Day 2023 takes place July 11-12. According to Adobe Digital Economy Index data, total U.S. online spend across retailers during Prime Day 2022 reached an all-time high of $11.9 billion, and numerous surveys suggest consumers plan to spend as much or more this time around.
As expected, fellow retail titans like Walmart and Target have already announced their own competing mega-sales events, and other retailers will surely follow Newegg’s footsteps in launching their own similar sales promotions..
