Sheetz is partnering with DoorDash for on-demand delivery.

The DoorDash same-day delivery platform is partnering with Sheetz, Meijer, and Hy-Vee.

Mid-Atlantic restaurant and convenience chain Sheetz announced a new partnership with DoorDash to provide on-demand delivery of convenience essentials, as well as products including made-to-order meals and proprietary coffee beverages, from 560 stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.

Customers can place a Sheetz order for delivery through the DoorDash website or mobile app. In late January 2022, Sheetz customers will also be able to order from the Sheetz website and mobile app and have their items delivered same-day via the DoorDash Drive white-label fulfillment platform.
“This new partnership with DoorDash allows Sheetz to significantly expand delivery options and continue to deliver on our mission to give customers what they want, when they want it, how they want it,” said Ryan Sheetz, VP, marketing & brand, Sheetz. “Customers can still order from our extensive made-to-order menu and select custom options with the touch of a finger, and now, they can do it from the comfort of their home.”

“We are excited to partner with Sheetz to expand selection across the Mid-Atlantic region and give consumers a fast and simple way to access their favorite Sheetz convenience items, made-to-order foods, and more, on-demand,” said Shanna Prevé, VP, business development, DoorDash.

In addition, regional discount retailer Meijer and grocery/convenience chain Hy-Vee Inc. are partnering with DoorDash to provide same-day delivery of alcoholic beverages to eligible consumers from select store locations. DoorDash launched its beer, spirits and wine delivery service in September 2021.

Meijer, which introduced same-day delivery of alcoholic beverages with Instacart from close to 200 stores in November 2021, is now enabling consumers across four states – Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio – to order alcohol from the standalone Meijer Beer Wine & Spirits store on the DoorDash app and website.

Meanwhile, consumers across Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska can order alcohol directly within the Hy-Vee grocery marketplace stores on the DoorDash app and website. All Meijer alcohol stores are also available on DoubleDash service, which allows customers to add items from nearby stores to an existing order for no additional delivery fee or order minimum. Through this launch, customers can now add alcohol directly from Hy-Vee to an existing Meijer grocery order, allowing consumers to build a mixed basket.

For all of these stores, prior to checkout, customers will be required to upload their ID for legal age verification, in addition to meeting the delivery person face-to-face as part of DoorDash’s delivery requirements.

Based in Altoona, Pa., Sheetz operates 621 stores across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina. Headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, Hy-Vee Inc. operates more than 280 retail stores across eight Midwestern states – Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Meijer, based in Grand Rapids, Mich., operates 256 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
