Target Deal Days
Target Deal Days are coming in October.

The holiday shopping season begins earlier than ever this year at Target.

The discounter will run its annual its holiday “Deal Days” omnichannel sale from Thursday, Oct. 6 to Saturday, Oct. 8. Calling it the ‘biggest Deal Days” event yet,” Target said the sale will feature hundreds of thousands of deep discounts across its entire assortment. The event is a few days earlier than last year, when it ran from Sunday, Oct. 10 to Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Target ran a digital-only Deal Days event in July, which directly competed with Amazon’s annual Prime Day sales extravaganza.

In addition, Target is running its annual holiday price match guarantee a few days longer this year – from Thursday, Oct. 6 to Saturday, Dec. 24 — than in years past.  Under the guarantee, Target will match the price if a customer buys a qualifying item at Target then find the identical item for less at Target.com, select online competitors or in a Target or competitor’s local print ad. Price matches may be requested at time of purchase or within 14 days after purchase.

Target teams up with FAO Schwartz
In time for the holidays, Target will also soon offer FAO Schwarz toys via dedicated space in its stores, as well as online. The discount giant is entering an exclusive multiyear agreement with toy brand FAO Schwarz.

Starting mid-October 2022, FAO Schwarz toys will be available exclusively at Target stores, Target.com and FAO Schwarz stores. In addition, Target announced the 10th annual Bullseye's Top Toys list, presented by FAO Schwarz.

Launching mid-October in all Target stores and on Target.com, the FAO Schwarz assortment will include more than 120 items across all toy categories. Products will range in price from $9.99-$149.99, including 50 toys priced less than $20. There will also be new exclusive FAO Schwarz product drops at Target throughout the holiday season.

All Target store toy departments will feature dedicated space for FAO Schwarz, including store displays. Select Target stores and the Target.com website will also feature hand-on, interactive toy demonstrations throughout the holiday season with Target toy experts.

“The holidays are a treasured time when our guests come together with family and friends to celebrate the joy of the season, and we’re here to make that as easy as possible for them to enjoy,” said Christina Hennington, executive VP and chief growth officer, Target, in a corporate blog post. “That’s why we’re rolling out deals earlier than ever and ensuring our team is ready to help our guests shop when and how they want. Throughout the season, guests will discover new and differentiated items for gifting and gathering, including only-at-Target owned brands and must-have national brands, and they can expect great deals and everyday low prices at every turn for an unmatched holiday shopping experience.”

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation operates nearly 2,000 stores across the U.S. and the Target.com e-commerce site.
