Specialty gift retailer Things Remembered gave customers cloud-based seamless shopping for the holidays.
In time for the 2018 holiday season, Things Remembered deployed Oracle Customer Cloud to deliver an improved, scalable omnichannel experience. Leveraging Oracle’s cloud-based platform, Things Remembered unified its brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels by offering both home delivery and in-store pickup of online purchases.
Additionally, to effectively manage heightened demand during the holiday shopping season, Things Remembered improved e-commerce site performance by using Oracle Commerce Cloud. During performance testing, the retailer was able to support a 300% increase of online volume compared to its historical highest volume at peak shopping times with the new platform. In-store, Things Remembered leveraged Oracle Commerce Cloud to streamline customer checkout.
"To ensure we can always deliver the best possible customer experience, we needed a flexible and scalable technology platform that would allow us to stay ahead of rapidly changing customer behaviors and expectations," said Surya Koppera, associate VP, e-commerce, Things Remembered. "With Oracle Commerce Cloud, we have been able to enhance our website performance, improve the checkout experience and quickly launch innovative new services. This has made a huge difference to our business by helping us to support an increase in traffic and sales. And as expected, we didn't experience any issues with website performance during the 2018 holiday season."
Oracle Commerce Cloud is part of Oracle Customer Experience (CX) Cloud, a business platform that connects data, experiences and outcomes.
