Walmart is offering a number of early Black Friday deals.
November will be a busy month for holiday promotions at Walmart.
The discount giant is running two separate “Black Friday Deals” events and a Cyber Monday sale. The first Black Friday promotion begins online Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. ET and continues in stores Friday, Nov. 10.
Members of the Walmart+ paid subscription program will have early online access from noon to 3 p.m. ET on Nov. 8. Click here to see a preview of some the items that will be on sale.
The second Black Friday sale starts online Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. ET and continues in stores Friday, Nov. 24. Walmart+ members will also have early online access from noon to 3 p.m. ET on Nov. 22.
The retailer will conclude its November holiday promotions with an online Cyber Monday sale Monday, Nov. 27. For the first time, Walmart+ members will also have early access to deals on Cyber Monday.
To encourage shoppers to join Walmart+ in time to receive early access to the first Black Friday sale, through Nov. 8 customers can obtain a one-year membership to the program for $49, 50% off the regular annual cost.
In addition, for its “Black Friday Deals” events, Walmart is introducing two new digital shopping features:
- Holiday “hearting”: Customers shopping on Walmart.com or the Walmart app can save their favorite deals by “hearting” items to automatically create a personalized list called “My Saved Deals.” Customers can then use the heart functionality to track deals and be notified as they become available. And with one click, they can add the entire list to their cart and check out. “My Saved Deals” lists can be shared with friends and family.
- Holiday wish list & toy registry: A new holiday wish list page launching in a few weeks will let customers create their own shareable registry to save all their holiday needs in one place. Walmart is also introducing Toy Registry, allowing customers to create their own toy wish list directly from the Top Toy List on Walmart.com.
“Our customers are going to be wowed by the amazing savings on popular gifts, many of which can only be found at Walmart. We have very exciting Black Friday events planned, with the type of extraordinary value, incredible assortment and easy, convenient shopping experience only Walmart can offer,” said Latriece Watkins, executive VP and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S. “We’ve worked to make sure it’ll be our customers’ best Black Friday experience yet.”
In other holiday promotional activity, Walmart hosted its ‘Walmart Deals – Holiday Kickoff’ savings event in October, and also began offering some holiday shopping features in early October 2022. The retailer is also leveraging a number of enhanced supply chain capabilities in an effort to provide a better customer experience this holiday season.
Headquartered in Bentonville, Ark., Walmart operates more than 10,500 stores and numerous e-commerce websites in 19 countries.
