Three new retailers are offering online delivery via DoorDash as the digital platform adds new features for customers.
Party City, Victoria’s Secret, and Lush Cosmetics are all now partnering with DoorDash. Party City is now delivering products on-demand directly to consumers from over 700 stores nationwide via the DoorDash Drive white label delivery service, as well as through the DoorDash marketplace. Party City is DoorDash’s first party supplies retail partner for on-demand delivery.
Victoria’s Secret is also providing delivery from hundreds of stores across the U.S. on DoorDas, and Lush Cosmetics is delivering online orders from over 250 stores in the US and Canada on the DoorDash site and app.
DoorDash provides new offerings for customers
DoorDash is also announcing several new features aimed at customers placing online delivery orders, including:
- Flexible and fast delivery: DoorDash is adding more delivery options that will allow consumers to schedule ahead with delivery windows or have their essentials delivered faster with express delivery.
- Search and discovery: The company is optimizing the search and discovery experience for consumers to more easily search within their favorite retail store for specific items. Now with more relevant in-stock options, customers can add to cart with on-demand delivery in under an hour, on average, according to DoorDash.
- Frictionless communication: Consumers can share their substitution preferences and communicate seamlessly with a delivery driver if a change or swap is needed.
“Our mission is to bring consumers all the best of their neighborhoods to their doorstep, including retail, grocery, convenience, and alcohol items, at low cost while saving them time,” said Fuad Hannon, VP of new verticals at DoorDash. “Features such as express delivery ensure that our customers get essentials like over-the-counter medicine quickly while enhanced search lets them easily find travel necessities for that last-minute weekend trip. We’re proud to develop these features in partnership with retailers as consumers crave convenience, alongside speed and selection.”
Starbucks expands DoorDash partnership
Starbucks is also expanding an existing partnership with DoorDash. In January 2023, the coffee giant began offering online delivery via DoorDash in Northern California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, and other select markets. The joint delivery offering will expand to additional markets over the coming months, with full nationwide availability anticipated in all 50 states by the end of March 2023.
Founded in 2013, DoorDash provides on-demand delivery services in 27 countries across the globe
