DoorDash is making it easier for restaurants to use its third-party services.

DoorDash is integrating its on-demand delivery service with cloud-based POS and order management software.

The on-demand delivery provider is aligning with the cloud-based Par Brink POS system and Menu Link, a marketplace order management solution within the Par Menu omnichannel ordering solution suite.

By integrating Par POS and order management technology with its marketplace capabilities, DoorDash enables restaurants to automatically process orders through PAR Brink POS. This provides centralized control over menu offerings, dynamic pricing for different channels, store-level information, and sales tracking.

Simultaneously, participating restaurants can leverage the Par partner ecosystem to consolidate tech stacks, enabling more efficient operations through a single, integrated platform.

“We live in a world where digital-savvy consumers demand seamless digital experiences,” said Savneet Singh, CEO of Par. “Our partnership with DoorDash unifies the ordering landscape and simplifies restaurant tech stacks. This enables faster and smoother operations for all stakeholders without compromising guest satisfaction.”

DoorDash enhances access to delivery services

DoorDash has pursued a variety of technology integrations this year in an effort to make it easier for restaurants to partner with it for on-demand order processing and delivery. In July, the digital delivery platform unveiled self-serve integration onboarding, a new feature enabling select restaurant partners to join the DoorDash marketplace in days directly from POS partner platforms ItsaCheckmate and Deliverect.

In August, DoorDash partnered with loyalty/ordering technology provider Paytronix to equip restaurant retailers using its service to develop loyalty programs and support gift card payment.

That month also saw DoorDash roll out voice ordering capabilities incorporating AI, building on its existing voice order model leveraging human agents, to further support restaurant operations.

DoorDash intends the automated system to enable restaurants on its network to answer all calls and pursue incremental revenue opportunities, while providing optimal end-to-end customer experience. By combining AI with live agents, DoorDash also hopes to ensure customer calls will be answered with little to no wait.

In addition, customers will be provided with curated recommendations to complement their meal, with the goal of increasing overall ticket sizes via targeted upselling.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, DoorDash provides on-demand delivery services in 25 countries across the globe.
