Walgreens, Staples, and Aldi are among the retailers stocking the new DoorDash digital back-to-school storefront.

On Wednesday, July 26, DoorDash is launching its first-ever back-to-school hub, featuring streamlined shopping and national deals on a broad assortment of retail and grocery products with average delivery time of less than an hour. Retailers providing items for sale via the hub include Aldi, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Staples, and Walgreens.

And in a special promotion with Staples running from Monday, Aug. 7 – Sunday, Aug. 13, DoorDash users can obtain up to 50% off with a special discount of $20 off orders of $40 more.. The promo code will be revealed via @staplesstores on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter on Monday, Aug. 7.

The back-to-school hub is the second major promotion DoorDash will run during summer 2023. The on-demand delivery platform recently concluded its fourth annual “Summer of DashPass” promotion. The marketing extravaganza returned with thousands of deals across the nation, spanning categories including food, flowers, grocery, convenience, and sporting equipment.

DoorDash also has prior experience in operating online storefronts with inventory provided by third-party partners. Introduced in August 2020, its DashMart banner offers both household essentials and local restaurant products for on-demand delivery.

DashMart stores are owned, operated, and curated by DoorDash, and stocked with inventory from both national and local convenience, grocery and food service retailers.

“Our immersive Back-to-School hub features a broad range of essentials to make this stressful time for families more convenient than ever. From school supplies, to pantry essentials, to everything in between, DoorDash has deals on nearly everything to help students start the school year on the right foot,” said Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, chief marketing officer at DoorDash. “We’re excited to provide our Back-to-School hub for the first-time ever, allowing parents school shopping that fits into their routine with next-level convenience and super relevant selection. With DoorDash, families nationwide can order school supplies from any store, anytime they need it, all year long.”

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, DoorDash provides on-demand delivery services in 25 countries across the globe.
